“What fun!” says Pastor Ed Top, a 2000 Tyndale Seminary graduate.
“The Lantern is a great place to be, to explore, to grow. Our little
church isn’t encumbered by a load of traditionalism and seeks to
re-evaluate much of the status quo.”
After having left the church
in his twenties, God drew him back to his bride, the church, when he
reached the ripe old age of 37.
“My life was all about me and it got pretty boring,” he says. “It’s
only by God’s grace that he drew me back, not only to church, but to
a leadership position. I love it. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere
else.”
Ed is married to Michelle and they have 3 young children,
whom Ed adores.
Michelle
has a real passion for the lost. She believes that the church
needs to be real to the people of Inglewood without being either
preachy or critical of our neighbours.
She loves to
worship and when not Preaching or leading the younger folks
downstairs, she helps us worship through song and dance.
Michelle is first and foremost the mom of Jonathan, Rachel, and
Avery, but she is also a gifted preacher.
