The Lantern is designed to be a church for those who currently do not have a church home. Some people are simply newcomers to Calgary and looking for a new church. Others are searching—searching for answers to significant spiritual questions in their lives. Still others are hungry for a new kind of church—a place that breathes authenticity, community and a relevance to contemporary culture. Wherever you’re at, we invite you to check out The Lantern. We’re not promising to be perfect, but we WILL be real. Moreover, whatever background or experience, we’ll do our best to introduce you to what church and God are really all about.
The Lantern has been specifically designed to meet the needs of young families and adults. Our programs are geared toward helping parents (including single parents), married and single adults, teenagers and children to grow spiritually, emotionally and inter-personally. Despite our focus on the “younger crowd,” we’ve been blessed with a broad spectrum of members that includes middle-aged and elderly people. Bottom line, in a society plagued by spiritual and relational fractures, The Lantern is a place for healing, renewal and growth. |
